Drain Repairs

Drain repairs can creep up from nowhere and a minor problem can quickly turn into a major one. Here's how to spot that a problem is occurring.

  • Toilets and sinks blocking or being slow to clear
  • A pervasive and unpleasant smell, particularly on a warm day
  • Damp or sinking ground around where the drain lines travel

These things may indicate that a drain has collapsed with the cause due to a variety of reasons. It may be a case of ground movement, heavy vehicles causing vibrations that shake the gravel bedding of the drain loose, poorly fitting seals and joints which allow water to escape which then washes away the footings, or simply degradation over time.

Scale and roots are another cause for your drains to become blocked and damaged. Root cutting and descaling may be required to restore free flow to your drains.

Whatever the cause, it is vital you get the problem attended to before it gets worse.

Drain Relining

Relining = stress free drain repairs

Once an issue has been identified in your drainage system, often through use of our CCTV inspection, an option to consider to repair it is drain relining.

Drain relining involves restoring the structural integrity of a pipe, without needing to replace the existing pipe. The affected area is thoroughly cleaned, then a soft, flexible resin coated sleeve is installed and shaped via air inflation before being left to cure. The end result is a reliable and secure repair to a damaged section of drain.

This method is ideal as it removes the need to dig up the ground causing delays and inconvenience to the property.
